If you want that Parisian chic look but struggle to find it, wait no more…your search is over. Isabel Marant is bringing her unique French touch to H&M on Thursday 14th November.
People will be queuing round the block at over 250 stores nationwide; when we say people we don’t just mean women! For the first time, Marant has created a men’s collection, so why not pick up something for the man in your life whilst you’re indulging in some retail therapy? If you can’t get yourself down to a store, fear not. It’s also available online from 9am. Get to work early or get your excuse ready now!
Born and raised in Paris, Isabel Marant started customising her own clothes at school and went on to graduate from Studio Berçot. Marant worked incredibly hard in the fashion business starting with a jewellery line, then going on to add knitwear and finally launching her collection in 1994. Today she runs an internationally successful fashion powerhouse and has truly carved out a reputation amongst the world’s fashion elite.
Marant’s effortless Parisian chic style, mixed with masculine tailoring and a dash of bohemia never fails to please. It’s all about looking cool with attitude (without even trying). Best worn with as much or as little make-up as you want, straight out of bed (complete with tousled hair) or a matching crinkle-styled hijab. It’s no wonder that It girls such as Alexa Chung love Marant. With her design’s attitude, rock ‘n’ roll, boho urban elegance and true-to-yourself spirit, she delivers a genuine French enticement.
Marant is creating a wardrobe of her signature style, must-have pieces. She says of the collaboration: “I am flattered by this collaboration: H&M works with the best designers and this invitation is an exciting honour. I aim at creating something real, that women want to wear in their everyday lives, with a certain carelessness, which I think is very Parisian: you dress up, but do not pay too much attention and still look sexy. The collection is infused with this kind of easiness and attitude. Everything can be mixed following one’s own instincts: my take on fashion is all about personality”.
Description: January Jones, Audrey Tautou, Isabel Marant and Freida Pinto.
